Capital Capital Summit takes place on 13 November 2025 at Shed 6 in Wellington, Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
This event is for anyone passionate about growing capital and innovation in Wellington, New Zealand and beyond. In particular:
Startups & scaleups (pre-seed to Series B)
Investors (angels, VCs, family offices, iwi funds, and future investors)
Ecosystem builders (policy makers, government, support agencies, economic development leaders)
Panels & Keynotes – leading investors, founders, and ecosystem builders.
Workshops – hands-on sessions on everything from term sheets to due diligence.
Showcases – founder pitches and investor showcases.
Networking – curated opportunities to connect with founders, investors, and partners.
Morning sessions are split into three tailored streams:
Early-stage founders – fundraising basics and capital pathways.
Scaleups – governance, growth capital, investor readiness.
Investors – fund mechanics, deal flow, due diligence.
The afternoon is a Growth Jam, hosted by Serge Van Dam
Followed by Angel HQ's showcase event in the evening
An afternoon of fast-paced, interactive sessions where experienced founders and investors share their best (and worst) funding stories, strategies, and lessons learned.
A curated pitch evening where Wellington’s most exciting early-stage companies present to investors, followed by networking. To attend this segment of Capital Capital, you will need to sign a confidentiality agreement (which will be shared before you attend).
Wellington is rich in talent and bold ideas, but founders here often take twice as long to reach Series A compared with Auckland. The missing piece is capital. Capital Capital Summit aims to unlock local funding, attract global investors, and fuel growth for Wellington founders.
No. Founders at all stages are welcome – whether you’re just starting to think about raising, actively fundraising, or planning for future growth – investors, ecosystem supporters, and future funders will all benefit from being in the room.
Tickets are available via this site. When you register, there are subsidised options for students and early-stage startup founders.
The summit is delivered by Creative HQ in partnership with WellingtonNZ, Wellington City Council, MOVAC, Angel HQ, and other ecosystem partners.
It’s focused squarely on the capital conversation – demystifying investment, connecting founders with funders, and building Wellington’s capital ecosystem so companies can scale faster.
